Kind Teens Overheard 3-Yr-Old’s Wishlist At Store Then Returned With Her Favorite Doll As A Gift

A kind couple was shopping at a Target in Lafayette, Indiana, when they overheard a 3-year-old talking about her birthday wishlist as she strolled down the aisles with her mom.

3-year-old Kinley was shopping with her Mom, Megan Shufflebarger, and it was just a few days before her birthday.

The young couple chuckled upon hearing Kinley admire all of her possible birthday presents at the store, and the young man asked her which one was her favorite doll.

“My heart… We were in target tonight and this younger couple was walking thru the toy aisles listening to Kinley ooh and ahhh and make her birthday list of doll goodies,” Megan shared in a post online. “He asked her which one she picked out and she showed him and said, ‘yeah and I really lub dis one.’”

The couple laughed a bit more while looking at the doll, and then they walked away with the doll in hand.

“They chuckled and he walked off with the doll and said try to stay over here. I thought it was odd at first but was quickly distracted with more oohing and ahhing. Kinley asked where the dolly was she picked and I told her it would be okay there are more.”

After a few more minutes of looking at the toy section, the young man came back with a bag and handed it to Kinley. Inside was her favorite doll and a receipt of purchase.

“He came back a few minutes later with her doll, in a bag with a receipt and told her happy birthday, you enjoy your dolly.”

This unexpected act of kindness melted Kinley’s mother’s heart.

“Seriously. What a reminder to never lose faith in humanity and to be generous and pay it forward,” she wrote. “To this generous young man, whoever you are, I hope you see this and more importantly, I hope you know what a good young man you are.”

It was learned that the kind young man is Tario Fuller, a 19-year-old freshman at Purdue University who plays for their football team. He’s a humble young man, and declined numerous interview requests from the media.

“He just did this out of the kindness of his heart,” shared Matt Rector, the athletics communication director at Purdue. “He’s received tons of interview requests, but he just wants to let it be where it is; a random act of kindness, and get no credit for it.”

Both Purdue and Target shared Tario’s act of kindness for Kinley and thanked him for helping make a sweet 3-year-old smile for her birthday.

You are Loved.
